house nuenen completed

An old single-storey bungalow has been transformed into a modern house where only the outer walls of the original house can still be recognized. The facade of the top extensions (timber frame construction) consists of accoya (environmentally friendly) and extends to the lower floor. Inside, many openings and sliding doors have been used to create as much space as possible. Attempts have also been made to let the garden run in as much as possible with, among other things, sunken fencing (seating areas and large glass areas with lots of sunlight). This house is equipped with many sustainable and energy-efficient facilities: a thick insulation layer, a heat pump, underfloor heating solar cells and a sedum roof (water buffer).
